Car over heating

Asked by GuruYX3DC Mar 04, 2018 at 05:11 PM about the 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix 2 Dr GTP Supercharged Coupe

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So my car is over heating and it just had an oil change. It
all started after I went into a ditch and got stuck. What is
wrong?

Perhaps you damaged the cooling system - check it out. Check the oil level while you are at it.

So you assume that they filled it with oil? Famous last words..............................

Check out your cooling system for proper fill level and the absence of obvious leaks (after you check the oil level as FOR suggested). If your coolant level is low, you will need to add some back but if it is leaking, you will need to determine where it is coming from. If you went into a ditch, it may be you knocked your lower radiator hose loose or did damage to your water pump.
