My GT sedan does not seem to shift into over drive or slips in od / no rpm change from 3rd & od. If driven in od I can can smell trans when parked.

Hello Danno1-- That doesn't sound too good, does it? I would suggest you take your 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix to a transmission specialist right away, before a small problem grows into a major one. I can't be encouraging, considering the symptoms, but who knows, maybe you just need a computer download. Good luck from Bovan.
