What kind of a noise is it making? And does the noise frequency vary with the speed of the rotation of the wheels? Since this is a front wheel drive vehicle, have you checked the condition of the rubber CV boots on the axles? If it's making a clicking noise when turning tight (at low speeds you can hear it) it may be that the CV joint is shot and needing replaced. The rubber boots keep those joints well lubricated and if they have never been replaced, it may be your issue. Once the rubber boot cracks and allows dirt, water, and debris in the joint, joint failure isn't too far away.
If it is a roar or grinding it is the wheel bearings on the driver side
If the cv axle gets bad enough it can sound like a hammer. Thump.... thump.... It could be any suspension part including the bushings and tie rod ends. but the previous two are the most common.
