Driving along 94 corvette all of a sudden it shuts off. Wait five minutes and it starts up.

Car has shut down twice in two days. Drove earlier today, ran fine. Took it out
again drove 4 miles and it shut off again. Waited five minutes it started up and
drove it 2 miles home.

Check your fuel pump relay. It will heat up and shut off, then when it cools, it will work again. Annoying, I know, but an easy fix!

Thanks for your help. I have put 2 hei distributors in this vett in the past year. From the first one it was only 11000 miles and had to replace again. Symptoms are the same as before this time its only been 8000 miles. Car runs for short period if time, does not sputter or spit just quits. Hoping its not distributor. It could be fuel pump relay, I pray, it has never been replaced. Car is all original with 73000 miles and I am second owner. Garaged and babied all its life.
