Does the 2003 Subaru forester x come in a short block?

Asked by SubaruMomma Apr 22, 2019 at 04:06 PM about the 2003 Subaru Forester X

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2003 Subaru Forester X that I'm replacing the engine from another
2003 Forester. My problem is the motor mounts are not lining up. It's a long
block, did they have different motor mounts for short block?

The term 'short block' and 'long block' generally just refers to whether the replacement engine comes with the cylinder head. Long block refers to a complete engine. Short block is just the engine block without a head.
