Spun bearing in a 2005 Subaru Forester

Asked by Bportah Sep 12, 2018 at 12:46 PM about the 2005 Subaru Forester XS

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I bought the car recently it has about 168,000 miles
on it and before I bought it the guy tried to rebuild
the engine. The thing caught fire and he gave me
my money back and said I could keep the car if
wanted. So now I’m just trying to decide if it’s worth
fixing(the engine didn’t seize thank god), buying a
new engine or just parting out the whole car. The
body of the car is in great shape and id like to get
as much money for it as possible
