2006 Cobalt stalled while driving. Won't start, and is clicking.

2006 Cobalt stalled while driving... then started up, drove for a few minutes, died again, and now it's clicking, and won't start. It has stalled a few times before, when stopping at a red light, then I was able to start it back and drive normally. I have noticed that sometimes when I stop, the lights would dim.

Clicking from a starter indicates low volts. It could be an old battery, worn belt, bad alternator or low RPM's at idle. For the stalling while driving, get the codes read to see if there are any pending codes stored.

I would get my alternator checked and my battery recharged. If you get the battery recharged the car should start if the battery is good and then while the car is on I would disconnect one of the battery cable and if the car dies it's going to be the alternator
