Problems with ABS pump on 96 Legacy

Asked by ruactin May 07, 2012 at 10:08 PM about the 1996 Subaru Legacy L Wagon AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have an issue with my 1996 Legacy L AWD wagon.  The mechanic told me I have a leak in my ABS pump.  I have
searched online for one to replace it, but they say there are 2 types: WITH or WITHOUT Traction Control   How do I
know which one I need to get?

if your car has traction control, get the one with it, if not get the one that does not have it...

should be somewhere, check the manual, if you still have it, or do a google search, most cars have a button somewhere to turn off trac control if its fitted, but not necessarily

Some do and some don't, if it does the button will next to the fog lamp button
