Transmission problem

Could be the shift solenoids, they are located in the transmission and will need to be check at the shop.
Do you think that is the solution how much you think that cost me
Unless you have an exorbitant number of miles on this car, it seems premature to have these kinds of problems.
Actually, 15,000 miles is the upper limit for normal mileage, so, maybe you do have 150,000 miles or more. If that's the case, I would seriously consider the total cost going forward. If it's seriously expensive, like a complete transmission rebuild, then , I would first check out the condition of your engine. Unless the engine is in top notch condition, you're going down the wrong road. I wouldn't throw good money after bad, unless you really thought you would get another 100,000 miles from your car with no engine overhaul.
Chori- OK, my answer still stands, if you cannot get another 100,000 miles without major engine failure, this is a financially bad move, in my opinion.
If it's a manual, here's the value of your car, appropriately, I don't know all the options you have. http://www.nadaguides.com/Cars/2006/Chevrolet/COBALT- L4/Coupe-2D-SS/Values
This is NOT good, see this article on replacing the transmission. http://www.cobaltss.net/forums/drivetrain-79/just-found-out-i-need- new-transmission-280978
See this link from car complaints, http://www.carcomplaints.com/Chevrolet/Cobalt/2006/ You may want to weigh your options. I'm sure that some of the recall issues were resolved, but, there's a lot more here.
It's automatic I'm checking the recall see what happens
An automatic transmission rebuild will cost thousands. Don't even consider an exchange transmission, it's not worth it, you will never know what you get. If it's the transmission, you're in a tough situation. The car is really not worth fixing and you won't get much selling it outside of salvage. BUT, considering it's an orphaned car, with a checkered reputation, I would probably get out and find a replacement car. These cars are very problematic and not that safe. Sorry.
