Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a 2001 Subaru Outback LL bean
addition. I bought it used. It's bee in good
shape and I've maintained it. It has just
below 300,000 miles on it. It stopped
running the other morning. I was driving
and then if just stopped and now it won't
start. ive gotten the starter, alternator, fuel
pump and filter looked at and they're fine.
What could be wrong? Is it time to just call
it and get another one?

Not far from a new one, but sounds like if it just died without making any noises it may be something simple, at least not a blown up engine.
Is the check engine light on? Codes? Check for spark and fuel pressure.
No warning lights came on or anything. It just died...

Then t-belt is ruled out. Check for cam/crank sensors, as their failure won't trip a CEL.
Yes, check to see if the timing belt is good, and try to check if the fuel filter isn’t clogged because if it cranks still, it could possibly be that. Because that’s what happened to me once. I bought mine used from a private seller and the filter was so sludged with who knows what, it eventually stopped my engine and broke my fuel pump assembly.
