Subaru Outback 2001 & 2003 Manual Transmission Swap

Thinking about putting a manual transmission from a 2003 Subaru Outback
into my 2001 manual transmission Subaru Outback Limited.  So far I've been
told that transmissions from these two models should always be
interchangeable.  Will I be able to swap these two without modification?

Model number of the '01 transmission is TY754VCBCA, and model number for
the '03 is TY754VCDAA.  Websites seem to show that these models have
different final drive ratios, not sure how accurate the information is.
