not sure if I understand this . It will shift manually up to third gear? is this automatic or manual ? if automatic is the overdrive off button on the shifter clicking and staying in when you push it?
If its put into drive it acts like its in 3rd gear direct-rev the motor and it tries to move ,if you put shift lever in 1st and then manually shift to 2nd and then manually shift to 3rd it goes fine , but it wont shift up into overdrive, even after driving for 10 miles or so,i did find info on transmission codes and its showing code 63 -which is a short or no connection in the wiring or a bad #2 solenoid ,at which point im wondering why with the new solenoids i put in its having the same problem again, and yes the switch button is working -you can see the orange line on the button when its off

Sounds like the wiring to the #2 solenoid is not making the connection to the solenoid would have be wise to check currant to the solenoid with an ohm meter at the wire connection prior to install making sure you had currant and a good ground from the transmission computer. Are you sure you changed #2 ( the one to the rear of the transmission) not on the drivers side? A TPS sensor can also effect shifting in and out of overdrive as well. I would check the wiring for damage or suspect a problem with the Transmission computer itself.

also on the overdrive off button . Does it stay in when you push it in ( click ) = overdrive off and then out when you push it again = overdrive on ?
Went through wiring harness and took off plastic cover- black crinkle stuff ,found a spot on a wire that had two strands still together ,not sure how it was cut since it was inside the cover ,anyway soldered it together, shrink wrapped it and now its running like a champ, Thanks for the help.
