Why wont my truck crank?

Asked by crazytville Mar 29, 2012 at 03:56 AM about the 1999 Toyota 4Runner 4 Dr SR5 SUV

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I turn the ignition and get click at the fuse box under hood. Somehow cap covering starter relay came off showing the contacts. I can stick a screwdriver on the starter relay contacts and cranks right up.
