Burning(electrical?)smell under hood. If facing engine, the smell comes from the center right of engine. There is a small box in that vacinity that I think is a fuse box. No smoking and smell is not constant -- dissipates when the car comes to a stop. Make sense to anybody?
Hello The smell is just the symptom; the root cause could be any number of problems. I would recommend bringing to a mechanic as soon as possible to avoid a possible engine fire later on. Best of luck! CarGrrl
Hi I have got a 2010 toyota corolla S, I have owned it for 13 months and recently there has been burning smell coming inside the car from the vents and when I stop the car and smell is stronger under the hood. The smell is like burned plastic jacket of the wire. My first guess would be the heating system that is going down. I am wondering if anybody has experience the same thing and would know the solution? Cheers
