Burning smell: either it's overheating or you have some wires or electronics getting hot. Can't really say much else based on the little information posted. The stain on the back seat - was it there when you bought it? If you're really unhappy with the purchase look up your state's lemon laws. They allow unconditional 30-day returns on all car purchases.

May be some oil spilled on the exhaust manifold when adding oil. Electronic smoke will be different smell altogether. Is the stain organic or is it from the seats electric motors that move the seat, if so I would get those replaced, can unhook the wire harness to them in the meanwhile

Does it have heated seats in rear? I do not think there is electric seat for rear but just thought I would address it if you do.
Do you have this odor all the time or just when you turn on the Heater or AC?
Wow....2 years with a smell from a heater? Something must of died next to your heater core.
