Gets hot motor dies

99 Toyota AValon I run it for 15- 20 minutes
motor gets hot it stops running when it
cools down starts back its not using oil not
smoking the gage says it not hot its not
loosen water is it a sesencer motor is a v6
automatic

Oil is fine water level is fine I run it long enough for the motor gets hot and it shuts down. When it cools down it runs fine until it gets hot again the temperature gage isn't ready hot .its like the computer telling it to shut down before it gets to hot

Coolant levels may be fine but you may still have no flow. Check the thermostat, it's an cheap/easy part to replace.

I had a GM car that did the exact thing. Once it got to normal temp. it shut off. Mine was a hairline crack in the coilpak. Took the dealership 2 wks to find it too.
