Has car been sitting for months? Flat spots on tires? Does this happen at a certain speed? Have you had an alignment and balance of tires? Ball joints or wheel bearings bad? Bad struts, leaking? Lots of possibilities...

All good suggestions above. If the vibrations occur at a certain speed could indicate a bad tire. Most tires with broken belts cause vibrations/shaking right around 45-55 MPH.
