You have to drop the sub frame out the bottom with engine/trans attached. First drain coolant and then remove radiator and fan next remove airbox and ducting. Next remove the hood and cowl and wiper motor assembly next pull glove box and and unplug the main engine harness from the ecm next remove wire/firewall rubber grommet from firewall and guide the harness out next remove the main 12v wire from the starter and any ground straps along with shift linkage. Now your going to need to evac the ac and you need a machine in order to do this properly. Next look carefully and make sure everything that is connected from the car to the engine on top is separated next raise the vehicle at least 4 feet and from underneath unbolt exhaust at the cat so when you lower the subframe it won't get caught your also going to need to remove the tire rod nuts and lower ball joint nuts and axle nuts and separate tie rods from knuckle along with the lower ball joint and separate knuckle from axles next pay attention to the steering rack you need to separate the steering at the rack it's best to lock the wheel and make a mark so it goes back together correctly. Find a pallet that is narrow enough for the hoist to get around but strong enough to support the weight of the engine/trans assembly lower the vehicle so the subframe touches the pallet and the weight is on the pallet and remove the 4-6 large bolts and slowly raise the car making sure everything separated. This is not a easy job is very time consuming and really requires a lift but that's how its done
