1990 Toyota Camry, Stalling during acceleration.

Asked by rcooper Jan 08, 2007 at 06:27 PM about the 1990 Toyota Camry STD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

You mentioned on 1987 Camry that it may be getting wet in the distributor cap and rotor.  If that's not it, any other ideas?

Cooper, the next thing I would look at would be the coil. I'd take a look at it and see if a good cleaning would help. After that I'd check the integrity of your fuel filter. Those are the usual suspects. If those experiments fail it might be time for a professional diagnosis. Good luck!

Yep, It was the coil. My mechanic (who is also my boyfriend :) ) replaced it and it's working! Apparently it's a common problem. Thanks for your help!
