If your car is jerking and feeling like it's running out of gas and you have replaced the fuel pump, does that sound more like the fuel filter?

I have never had a fuel filter problem ever on any of my Toyotas. I'm not saying that it's not the issue. If you change it out, and are still having the same isssue, I would go for plugs, wires, air filter, cap and rotor next. Does the problem make your check engine light illuminate?
