Question type: Maintenance & Repair

gnition key is making the five chirp sound for three sets and stops, that sound usually alerts you that the key is still in the ignition, but does this after the key has been removed and mostly as you open the drivers door. I replaced the battery because the old one ran dry and dead, but would like to know if the chirping sounds are damaging the car or running down the battery.
