Radiator fan only turns on when AC is on

Asked by Rad Feb 17, 2020 at 11:38 PM about the 1999 Toyota Camry LE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The radiator fans only work when the AC is on. So
the car slowly overheats when I don’t put the fans
on with the AC. I replaced Fan no.2 relay and Fan
no.3 relay, I replaced the thermostat, the coolant
temp sensor, and the coolant temperature switch. It
still overheats, could it be a corroded wire?

Suggestion....find the AC Pressure Sensor. Disconnect the two wires and jumper these two wires with a paper clip. Carefull now ...do not spread the connectors on these wires. I usually flatten the ends of the PC with a hammer. let the engine warm up and see what happens. Do not let the engine overheat.
