2004 Toyota Solara Overheating
1 Answer
I had a 1999 solara that others were recalled for motor problems and many recalls . If yours is the right I d number for recalls , they should fix it . Mine was 2.2 motor 4 cylinder but the car always was so hot when I opened the hood . But it never showed to overheat . I checked fluids and oil and they didn't recall mine when I thought it should have been cause the heat was fierce when opening the hood and then one day the car just cut off on the interstate , no warning and it was dangerous and the car had to coast off interstate then to find out the motor was messed up beyond repair . I had to sell it for a few hundred , I felt mine was missed along the way ... it definitely should have been recalled because the 1999 2.2 were recalled and that's just what I had , and the same problems as the recalled. But Toyota wouldn't do anything to help or fix it . They said we will giv you 500. Off a new Toyota you buy . Yeh right , about 500. Only towards a new one .
