The engine light, VSC and TRAC OFF lights all came on in my 2006 Toyota Solara that has 55,000 miles on it. I am being told by the dealer that the fuel collar has corrosion and it and the gas cap need to be replaced at a cost of $550. Looking for opinions! All advice is appreciated! Thank you!

Sounds expensive just for the cap.
Didnt catch the collar also needs to be replaced. Cant say ive seen corrosion around the cap before. But hey have them do it and if it doesnt fix it take it back till they do.

Thank you for reporting this issue. I had the same issue on my wife's '05 Solara. Your post pointed me in the direction of the gas cap which I found laying inside the compartment. Screwed in the cap and went to O'reilly's and had them reset the check engine light and all was resolved. This saved me at least $100 for a diagnostice check from the dealer.

I’ve had the alternator, battery, spark plug and coil replaced now. Same lights are on and have been almost the entire time I’ve had the car. Any information what got your car truly fixed? 118k miles
