Well found 2007, should be same if you have 2.2 or 2.4 2005-2010 http://www.fixya.com/cars/t10173396-cam_crank ..click image
Forgot...7 is cam 10 is crankshaft PS also have a look at .. http://www.cobaltss.net/forums/problems-service-maintenance-69/bad-camshaft-sensor-219621/
I was just told at O'Reilly that the 2.2l ecotec engine does not have a camshaft. So they just sold me a crankshaft. Not sure what to do now.
I know this is late, but given I have the same issue with a 2005 2.2l Cobalt I felt it worth while to post. According to the Chilton Book. The 05 2.2l doesn't have a Camshaft Sensor. Only the 2007 2.2l has one despite being part of the same model generation (as shown in the picture). What I find mind boggling is that the Code P0340 clearly states Camshaft Sensor Fault which was coupled with cylinder 1-4 fault codes. I'm gonna assume this is a general code description and hope the Crankshaft Position Sensor fixes the issue. But running blind since I could not find a solid answer on what the acceptable Ohm rating would be for the Crankshaft of this car model. For those curious, I didn't do a voltage test on either sensor, just a resistance test which both registered around ~750 Ohms.
Schruppie, Did that work? My 2005 is running just fine but is throwing the camshaft sensor code. I just replaced the coil pack due to a misfire in cylinder 1.
