Can I use a toyota celica 2001 transmission on my 2004 toyota celica gt?

I have a 2004 toyota celica 2004 gt  and the
transmition is jumping 4t gear don't have a lot of
cash and a friend is willing to give me the
transmition from his toyota celica 2001 and I don't
know if they are compatible any help?
