It bogs down in drive when i accelerate. why?

I just took it apart and swapped the intake exhaust and head gaskets. In park
and neutral I can rev the car and it reacts normally. The valve and crankshaft
are timed properly. When I put the car in drive or reverse it has a normal idle
rpm but as soon as I put my foot on the gas its bogging down if i remove my
foot the rpm's go back to normal idle. What could be the issue?

I have a 97 toyota corolla and my mechanic found oil in the antifreeze overflow. Told me it was probably a blown head gasket. If you find out something different, I would be interested.
