Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The rear window on my 2000 Toyota Corolla rolled down about an inch. Then it wouldn't
budge. Could the problem be a fuse?

Maybe. Does it work from neither switch on that door and driver's door?

Wait, no. I have been looking for an image of the fuse box but can't find the right one. But Page 234 fuse #18 you can see it. http://www.toyota.com/t3Portal/document/om/OM12718U/pdf/omsource/2000om/00coroll/8.pdf

So the problem is either the motor in the door or the mechanism. You are going to have to pull door panel and have a look. If you have a multi-meter all the better...to see if power is getting to motor. But it's not fuse. That fuse supplies power to power locks also click to size up

If you open door and put a hand on both sides of glass will it go up, than fall back down...or stay up...or not move at all?

From http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/131-8th-generation-1998-2002/304530-2002-power-window-not-working.html The thread is this: "Window will come down slightly, then sticks. In order to raise it back up, necessary to do so by hand." Then " Sounds like the classic window regulator issue End quote. But if you go to that page there is a long essay by somebody that sounds like the know what he's talking about.
