Where is a good place to buy a crate engine to for a 2001 Toyota Corolla? I need to replace the engine due to sudden oil loss. I now either have a rod knocking or a spun bearing.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

For some reason on 120 mile trips through the mountains my Corolla will
use/blowout all the oil.  This happens only occasionally, not every time.  I now
have engine damage with a tic or knock that is getting progressively louder.

I do not want a salvage engine with 100+K miles. New or rebuilt is what I am interested in.

I am my local mechanic. I plan to do the work myself. Every rebuilder I have researched appear to be high risk in that there are numerous complaints about their products and warranties.
