2002 Corolla auto transmission slipping??

I was coming off the freeway and stopped at the light then
when it turned green I turned left and I noticed my rpm
were really high and I wasn't moving too fast and then it
kicked in and I started driving then less then a quarter
mile later it happened again and acted as if I was in
nuetral and stopped pushing me forward. Normal fluid
level not smelling burnt. If I let it sit for a minute it drives
for a minute then goes back to slipping. I had a code of
P0500 which is a malfunction of the VSS I replaced that
and still no improvements any ideas?

So it sounds like the tranny is shot? Not like a bad ground or something it just seems weird that it drives for a minute then loses it

Go to a few trans shops (if u can) and c what the consensus is. I'm guessing too, trans on its way out!
