Would a loose Air Filter cover send a P0442 EVAP System Small Leak code?

A Check engine light popped up in my 2004 Toyota Corolla and said it was a
P0442 EVAP System small leak code. I opened the hood to find my air filter
cover was loose. Could that have sent the code?

I doubt it but fix the air filter cover and see if that clears the code.
