If you bought the Car in the US and live in the US your Corolla has a chip key. There was a re-call for 2005-2006 Corollas for faulty ECU (computer) Go to this link, have your VIN and you will be able to see if it was ever fixed under recall (unless you bought it new, then you would know) https://ssl.toyota.com/owners/login
If you truly need your computer replaced and its not covered under the recall, may I suggest getting an exchange or rebuilt computer. It's a lot cheaper than new and your car is already 10 years old.

Thanks for your answers. I live in Panama but buy my car at USA, the new computer was buyed at USA also, so I am contacting a specialist to configure the chip key.
Keep in mind that it's not the key that get's programmed. Nothing is done to the key chip, but the computer must be programmed to recognize it. Just a technical point. Best wishes from the USA to you in Panama
