Steam coming from defrost vents after air conditioner used

when i started up my car today to drive to work, by the time i got here there
was a small amount of steam or smoke coming from the defrost vents after i
had the air conditioner on, can you tell me what or why ??

how do I know for sure if it is a leaking heater core?? And how expensive would it be to fix? Thank you so much
