oil pump failure. 2001 rav 4 2001 model.

My RAV 4 had the oil level flshing on the dash board for some days, I check the dip stick and the level is ok. one day I travel and there was a sound from my engine and my mechanic says the oil pump fail and my engine has knock.

Okay, this is a toughie, because the oil pump is a part of the timing case, and has a test plug and one that you can change the pressure by putting different springs into. this is not a separate unit that you can bolt in, but integrated into the front of the engine. You will need to take the front off of this engine to tend to this pump.
