My 1993 T100 began to not turn over unless I pushed up on the gear shift lever while turning the key. Now it wont turn over at all. What is this?

The shift selector has a switch that wont allow it to start in gear try it in n may work then but will have to replace the switch

The Range Switch may be at fault. It may not be telling the PCM that the vehicle is in PARK or NEUTRAL. The fix is to R & R the Range Switch

The truck would click before starting then start. Now when I turn the key on all lights and gages work including heater,fan,and radio. As soon as I try to start the T100 it kills the battery.

What's better? A new after-market part, or a used OEM? I'm shopping for a valve cover for a 1996 Toyota T100, and the price difference between the two is $27. (used one is $125 including shipping, new one is from partsgeek, free ship)I'm not sure if aftermarket parts in new condition would even be better than an original used part.Someone over-tightened the corner bolt on my current valve cover and busted an ear off one of the corners - oil leak seeping onto alternator. 10 Answers
