Transfer case shifting

Asked by caramat7 Feb 03, 2009 at 07:30 PM about the 1995 Toyota Tacoma V6 Xtracab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Having trouble getting inot 4x4, especially on cold days (winter here -20 to -40). Light on dash doesn't come on even with shifter in 4H. In warmer weather, slight rocking seems to do the trick, but not in cold weather. Fluids are up, but should a different gear oil be used? Brand? Data?

Thanx
