my 4wd will not engage on my 2005 suburban...I have changed the encoder motor and selector switch. I can hear the motor trying to engage (while in neutral) and the light flashes on the selector switch. Then it stops and goes back to 2wd on the selector...ANYONE..??

I have a 2005 3/4 ton suburban and when I try to switch into anything but 2WD the light flashes and then nothing happens or it gives me the blinking red light on the selector panel. Any thoughts. 3 Answers

After pushing any 4WD button (4WD auto, 4WDH or 4WDL) the light just blinks and either goes back to 2WD or gives me the red light in the neutral field. I get no service errors just wont engage.

I have a 2005 Chevy Suburban. It will not go into 4wd. I have checked the actuator on the axle. I have power there, but when you push the button to shift into 4x4, the power is not transfering the the power to operate the actuator. I then installed a new push button switch in the dash, to no avail. Still nothing. Can anyone give me suggestions? Thank you. 1 Answer
