WOULD IT MESS UP MY TRUCK IF I GOT A CHEAPER BRAND OF
TRANSMISSION FLUID JUST TO GET ME HOME?

As long as the fluid is the correct type for your vehicle cheap is not necessarily bad. My guess is that a Dexron or Dexron III is what your vehicle requires. Look on the transmission dipstick to see if it tells you which fluid to buy.

Rooks, majority of what is out there is private labeled by big name guys anyway, you're good. I use Coastal Dexron 6 in mine. There's a big list of GM approved manufactures of the Dexron line, guarantee the one you bought is on there.
