2004 Chevy avalanche it skips and dies after driving it 40 minutes what causes this ?thank you in advance for helping out

I have a 2004 Chevy avalanche and I have to drive it for about 40 minutes and stop
skipping and dies I haven't done the battery and waited a few minutes and I'll get
back up it starts bad the electronics to go haywire on it I don't know what to do
anybody can help appreciate it

Geez .. it could be a lot of things but the "electronics goes haywire" may be a clue that water is getting into a connection cable at the cars computer. Many GM's have the computer under the air filter
