2004 chevy avalanche transmission kicks out

I can start my truck and put it in drive...after
20 30 seconds tranny disengages. I can can
shut the truck off for ten seconds..start it up
again,drive for twenty seconds cycling thru
the gears and it will disengage. I was told it
could be electrical. Any help would be
appreciated.

Scan it for trouble codes. It likely knows what the problem is and is just waiting to be asked.
