04 Malibu Trunk latch

I had gotten into a fender bender about a year or
two ago and it caused slight damage to my bumper
and trunk latch. For a while the latch worked fine
but gave some trouble from time to time when I
went to close it. But now it will not close at all.
Should I just replace the the latch or look into
getting body work done?

clean and grease the latch , make sure things are lined up right , if you never went to a body shop take a hammer to it if you need to , aluminum meat tenderizer from the kitchen maybe .
