Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I'm driving between 38 and 40 mph. My car
jerks and I can feel it in the car and through the
brake pedal. I'm  thinking that it might be the
rotors need to be turned and I need to replace the
brakes as well. What could the problem be???

most likely would be the spark plugs see if theres any rust in those get replaced if there is if not check your fuses and battery that could also be the reason if your check engine light turns on when it jerks then pull over and let your car cool down when you go uphill thats when the most frequently happens.

It sounds like your transmission, is this around the speed where you can normally feel it change gears? Sometimes you may feel a lag before it shifts up or down a gear and this will be accompanied by high rpm before the jerk occurs.

Do you feel the her when you are braking exclusively or do you feel it when you are accelerating as well?
