Why is 4 wheel drive stuck on?

This is the run down. There is a dial to put the SUV in 2 wheel, automatic, 4
Wheel drive low and high. The dial is set at automatic, yet the 4 wheel drive low
is stuck on. what is the cause of this?

I am not that familiar with this model, but try brining the vehicle inside to "Thaw it out". Warmer than 45 degrees. If that does not work, then sounds like the actuator has gone bad. Your front actuator (changes from rear wheel only to 4wd) might be frozen or worn out.
