Why heater stop working after replacing water pump?

Asked by Equinox_2073 Dec 11, 2020 at 04:20 PM about the 1996 Mercedes-Benz S-Class S 320 LWB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have water pump on my 2000 Jaguar S-Type and 1996 Benz S-320 replaced
at different time. Each time the heater in each one stopped working. I advised
to replace heater-valve exchange in each of them. This was done on the 1996
one, still the heater is just blowing cold air. My question is what could be
responsible for this?

Low coolant, Stuck open thermostat, Air in the cooling system, or heater-valve exchange. Could be one of these.
