I have a 4x4 that will not work with the switch. It has a new transfer case motor and a new switch on the dash. I have checked all the relays that I can find. I know there is one supposedly behind the glove box but have not seen it. What am I looking for. And are there any other things to look for?

Sorry Fred but I have no info for your question. But I do have a question about your avatar picture. What year is it and are you restoring it or looking to get rid of it?

yeah, dandy am inclined to agree....you MUST find out what functions are needed, then seek out the relays that require that level of switchin'~....go to U- Pull and take a look at what's left of the scrappers there...might be edgemuckational~

the Mustang is a sports car...more of a muscle car like in Bullit...the GT500~..not noted for their exceptional handling...NONE American cars are~Power...yes mo power seems to be the keys to the kingdom here~
if it is like mine which I think it is... it is run off vacuum on the front axle and if it hose leaks or is dry rotted it will not work. mine was stuck! book says lock in 4x4 every so often and once I manually moved it into 4x4 it was good just stuck from not putting it into 4x4 from time to time. hope this helps
im not sure where the topic got off but fyi the corvette handled and still handles very good for a American car and the ac cobra wasn't to bad either! also pretty sure the Mustang won a lot of road races back in the day with that non handling muscle car...lol
