I've had this happen two times. First time I searched all over the forums and found one answer that said that the fuel system needs a full 12 volts or it does not allow the fuel to flow. My truck cranked fine and strong but would not start. I replaced the batteries and it started up right away. One other time my batteries went bad and it did it again. New batteris fixed the problem both times. In the mean time WD 40 works great as a starting fluid to get the truck started.

Do not EVER use starting fluid on a diesel!! This will destroy the valves! What motor do you have?
