in my 95 I avg 15-17 city and about 18-20 highway, got an avg of 16.7MPG
i get 16 avg in a 99 f-250 7.3
it is not extremely consistent throughout all of them but mine started around 15 highway but after putting performance mods in it gets about 18 highway (and keeps up with corvettes :))
my dad gots a 03 and it ranges from 16 when pulling to the to 20 range whaen not but he's got the edge tuner on his truck
about sixteen or seventeen city and 20-22 highway mine has a diablo sport tuner and it really matters how you drive, Always in the high rpms its lower mpg
I was getting up to 28 and 30mpg highway, but I had alot of work done to mine. the amazing part is those mpg's were recorded with an average speed of 85 mph and a top speed of 125mph. before the work was done I was seeing an overall average of about 16mpg. Remember, I'm not an economical driver.
the best i ever got was 18. I wood like to no how to get 28 to 30. PLEASE EXPLAIN
My 1999 six spped with 7.3 PS gets just a bit over 20 mpg. Stock, except for 18 inch wheels instead of stock 16's. This is gps measured and hand calculated.
My '01 super cab with a short bed gets 24 hwy (75mph) and 18 city. Best way to improve mileage is to let them breath!!! K&N intake - Gibson dual 4" pipes
i bet youd get better performance with a better intake than K&N. they are drastically overrated.
You're probably right but in '01 it was the best around and it's given many years of good service. I've looked at other intake systems and they all seem to use the same basic principal so I've never had a good reason to change it. I'm happy with the mileage and performance results and hope to improve them with a new chip soon. Thnx for the feed back.
Had a 95 F250 Powerstroke and got 22 mpg coming and going loaded or empty. 93 CC dually non turbo got 13 no matter what I did. (same as my 76 F250 with 390 V-8)
I’m only getting about high 12s with a chip and 5 inch exhaust what can I do to raise that
I haven't f250 7.3 I get 22 miles for gallon No matter how I driving
Most of these seem like BS have a Banks for trying to exhaust and intake you were other things but that's about it 99 extended cab 6 foot bed 7.3 I get about 19 on the highway @ 65 and about 13 Towing 14,000lbs synthetic everything down to the rear end all Amsoil. The guy claiming 29 I really want to know how I top it off so I get accurate mileage calculated takes about 15 minutes to top it off without the diesel bubbling!
