The cars are from two separate body types. The larger Impala W has larger brakes from the factory mainly the front ones. The base Malibu had 15" standard and I believe 16" optional. Where as the Impala was 16" base and optional 17". The 15" wheels will not clear the calipers on the Impala. As for the bolt pattern they should be the same 5 x 115 mm with roughly 5.75" offset. You can verify the bolt pattern with two rulers if required. Hold on across the center of two adjacent holes and measure from that ruler to the center of the hole opposite. Should equal 4.52" (115mm).
