I was in a collision to the front of my 1990 f150 and the impact must have tripped the automatic fuel system shutoff. I pressed the reset button and it worked however now it starts and dies inseconds

Asked by Jcarver77 Dec 13, 2015 at 09:38 AM about the 1990 Ford F-150 XLT Lariat Extended Cab LB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I cannot seem to keep the truck running for more
than a few seconds like its not getting fuel.
There are no leaks or damaged lines. The front
bumper took all the damage visible however I
can't seem to get the fuel system reset after the
impact. Any assistance would help
tremendously. I'm  stuck

If it will start and run for a few seconds every time you push the reset button, then the problem is with the switch. You can temporarily bypass the switch. Check the net for how.
