Truck won't crank unless fuel pump shuts off

I have to turn the key and let the truck sit until the fuel pump cuts off. If it rains
it can take an up to an hour for the fuel pump to shut off. The fuel pump is not
even a year old fuel filter has like 2000 miles on it...

The fuel pump is set on pressure and should cut off 3-5 seconds after you cut key on,if it keep,s running as you said it is not pumping and biulding pressure,check your fuel pressure with guage,think that fuel pump may be bad.

I replaced the fuel pump relay and it fixed the problem. But the next morning when I went out to crank the truck the fuel pump took its usual 30 minutes to cut off and the battery was dead. I'm goin to look for shorts in the harness and bad grounds
